This post is about the actual post! confusing??? read on...
Today i went to the post office nearby and dropped an envelope in the post box. Thats when I realised that I was doing this after a long long time! years together infact.
It was a funny feeling. With the advent of the internet and the wide usage of mobile phones, the postal system has almost been discarded by us. We hardly use it right? I dont remember posting a letter in a post box for atleast 3-4 years now! although there have been a few instances where I went to a courier outlet and sent something. And even now, I went to post it as it was a readymade reply to some statement. The letter was already typed in, the addressed envelope was provided and no stamps needed. All that was needed was my signature and dropping it in a post box! And these statements are the only letters that I recieve via posts these days, and may be few wedding invites once in a while. It used be so exciting to read a letter, now that we get loads of emails everyday, its become like a routine! Its interesting how trends change, and more so to have been through them...
